A couple features in TeamSnap may not be working as they upgrade their system, however the majority of the service is working.
From the TeamSnap team
You may have noticed some issues with using TeamSnap over the last 48 hours. We want to give you an update on what’s happening and what to expect.Early Sunday morning, we began a major planned upgrade that is designed to improve TeamSnap’s performance, stability and speed for years to come. In one night, we moved the entire TeamSnap infrastructure onto a faster and more reliable platform. Thanks to customers like you, we’ve experienced unprecedented growth in the last year, so it was important to complete this migration before the height of the spring season. While we’ve done everything possible to minimize downtime, there were a few unexpected delays in completing the upgrade, which means a few parts of our system will not be back to full speed until we complete some database optimizations tonight (April 2):
- Very large organizations may experience problems rostering players to teams, and may experience problems sending emails.
- Season archiving for teams is not yet available. Please wait a day before starting a new season for your team.
- Subscriptions to a TeamSnap calendar may not be updating on your personal calendar.
In addition, we are seeing some delays with delivery of emails. We expect that to be fixed with tonight’s upgrade, and no emails have been lost. For time-critical messages, we recommend using team chat in the mobile app, which will let you contact your team immediately. You can also export your team roster from the web app and send emails through your own desktop email client. We want to emphasize that no data has been lost, most of TeamSnap is running smoothly, and we expect to fix all outstanding issues. TeamSnap will be offline tonight from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. PT for the final planned part of the upgrade. You can follow our progress at https://status.teamsnap.com. We know you rely on TeamSnap to manage your team or organization, and we’re very sorry that this upgrade has not gone quite as smoothly as planned. We appreciate your support and understanding, and look forward to giving you faster and more reliable service on our new platform moving forward.Thank you,
